All-Star forward Kevin Durant, who was revealed to test positive for the coronavirus along with three other members of the Brooklyn Nets, is asymptomatic.

Shams Charania of The Athletic confirmed the development after breaking the news of  KD's positive test. Durant told his fans and followers to “be careful, stay quarantine” in a message relayed by Charania.

Kevin Durant and the three infected Nets players join Utah Jazz stars center Rudy Gobert and Donovan Mitchell, as well as Detroit Pistons power forward Christian Wood as the known positives of NBA players for coronavirus.

The NBA suspended league operations effective March 12 when, right before tip-off, a matchup between the Jazz and Oklahoma City Thunder was postponed as Gobert felt symptoms for the virus. Gobert, and later his teammate Mitchell, were revealed as positive for coronavirus.

Durant signed with the Nets last season, joining All-Star pals point guard Kyrie Irving and center DeAndre Jordan on the east coast franchise. The former second-overall pick of the 2007 draft out of Texas won back-to-back titles with the Golden State Warriors but ruptured his Achilles tendon in Game 5 of the 2019 NBA Finals against the Toronto Raptors, sidelining him the entire 2019-20 season with Brooklyn.

Irving also saw a mid-season injury sideline him, and it will likely take the 2020-21 campaign for Irving and Durant to finally share the court together on the same team.
