Brooklyn Nets superstar Kevin Durant was faced with a tough, non-basketball question during Thursday's pre-game press conference and the former league MVP took it like a champ.

KD has been in a heap of controversy for his involvement in a heated and NSFW DM's exchange with actor Michael Rapaport, and as it turns out, Durant was more than willing to account for his error (h/t ClutchPoints on Twitter):

Durant no longer tried to defend his actions, and instead decided that the best course of action would be to make a public apology:

“I'm sorry that people seen that language I used, that's not really what I want people to hear and see from me,” Durant said. “But hopefully I can move past it and get back out on the floor.”

For those who require context, Rapaport released screenshots of his private conversations with Durant wherein the Nets star used abusive language against Rapaport. KD even challenged the actor to a fight and threatened him with physical violence. It was later revealed that Rapaport allegedly filed charges against Durant for the threats he made, so it remains to be seen what type of effect, if any, KD's apology will have on that development.

To be honest, Durant does sound sincere with his apology here. Then again, he did say that he was sorry for how the public learned about the private conversation. There appears to be no apology towards Rapaport, who himself clearly took offense from Durant's incessant tirade.
