Kevin Durant showcased his entire arsenal on Sunday in a jaw-dropping performance against the Detroit Pistons. The former MVP dropped a 50-piece to lead the Brooklyn Nets to a 116-104 win over Cade Cunningham and the Pistons.
Shortly after the game, Durant was asked if he was aware of how close he was to reaching the 50-point mark. In true Kevin Durant fashion, the Nets superstar responded with a blunt two-word response (h/t NBA on Twitter):
“Of course,” KD responded before giving out a big smile.
Of course… scorers know! 💯 pic.twitter.com/M6mtsaxIqt

Durant is without a doubt one of the best scorers this game has ever seen and he was absolutely on fire on Sunday night. The Pistons had no answer for the 11-time All-Star as KD finished with 51 points on 16-of-31 shooting. He went 14-of-15 from the line and 5-of-10 from distance to go along with his seven rebounds, nine assists, one steal, and two blocks.
It goes without saying that whenever Durant gets it going like this, the Nets are virtually impossible to beat.
That's now back-to-back wins for Brooklyn following Friday's 113-105 victory over Trae Young and the Hawks. The 19-8 Nets return to action on Tuesday to take on the Toronto Raptors at the Barclays Center.
