Kevin Durant didn't have his best game against the Charlotte Hornets on Tuesday night. Thanks to Kyrie Irving dropping 50 points in spectacular fashion in a 132-121 Brooklyn Nets win, it didn't really matter.

However, not everyone is about the bottom line when it comes to game results. Sports bettors in particular are privy to the minutia that wins and loses them money. KD's final scoring line against the Hornets fell way under what it was projected to be. Now I don't have the precise over/under on his scoring total on FanDuel before the game, but it's safe to say his 14-point outing didn't make the cut.

The Nets star hilariously responded to a fan who jokingly wanted him “prosecuted immediately” for his underperformance on Tuesday.

“When them parlays don’t hit,” said the Nets star. “This is for years of slander from nba fans, im grateful I have this much power now. 😁”

Kevin Durant is certainly just being playful. It's hard to imagine he's out there thinking about how he affects sports bettors everywhere with his final box score line, let alone straight up admitting to doing so on Twitter. The Nets star is likely just joshing on his rare bad game. He even retorted back over putting the fan on blast for his 15 seconds of infamy.

KD is notably a part-owner of sportsbook and daily fantasy company FanDuel and does actually wield some power in the realm of sports betting. But the Nets star isn't sweating how his own play affects those betting payouts.
