Kyrie Irving might be only playing for the Brooklyn Nets on a part-time basis, but he's increasingly confident the team made the correct moves at the NBA Trade Deadline. The guard hopped on Twitch on Monday night with rookie teammate Cam Thomas and sent a stern message to the haters who believe the Nets don't have what it takes to contend for a title.

“Just watch how our squad comes out of this All-Star Break.”

Brooklyn was on a putrid 11-game losing streak that spanned from late January to mid-February, but they finally broke out of it before the All-Star break with a pair of wins over the Sacramento Kings and New York Knicks before another loss to the Wizards. While the Nets are just 31-28 on the season, Irving clearly believes this squad is still capable of making some noise.

Ben Simmons is expected to make his Brooklyn debut soon, while Seth Curry and Andre Drummond have fit in nicely since the blockbuster trade with the Philadelphia 76ers for James Harden. Once Kevin Durant returns, which is supposed to be not long after the All-Star break concludes, the Nets should have no problem getting back into the thick of things in the East. They've also just added a huge piece in veteran guard Goran Dragic.

As for Irving, he's only eligible to play in 11 of the team's last 22 games due to his vaccination status. That's unless NYC changes their vaccine mandates and allows him to play at the Barclays Center.
