Kyrie Irving had LeBron James looking for a map on Thursday. The Brooklyn Nets superstar bamboozled the hell out of his former teammate after a ball fake that had ‘The King' spinning in confusion. Irving then spun around again and made a sweet fadeaway jumper as the Nets blew out the defending champions at home.

Irving did his old teammate dirty all evening long. He even trolled him hard after James missed a technical free throw in the opening quarter. The former NBA champion was all smiles against the defending champions as he continues to shine for Brooklyn alongside his newest teammate in James Harden.

Irving and co. spoiled a historic evening for James who notched his 35,000 career points on Thursday. Unfortunately, the short-handed Lakers were without two of their starters with both Dennis Schroder and Anthony Davis missing in action. James had to do all the work with these two out and ultimately fell short against the Nets, who didn't need the services of Kevin Durant after all.

With Durant out for the third straight game, the Nets continue to roll. Irving only needed to put up 16 points en route to the victory while Harden notched a team-high of 23 points and 11 assists. Joe Harris also came up big and drained six threes.

The win marks the Nets' third straight victory over the Lakers in Staples Center. They're now on a five-game win streak which is their longest streak since January 2019. Brooklyn is now 8-7 in their away games and is slowly breathing down the neck of the Philadelphia 76ers, who are currently sitting precariously at the top of the Eastern Conference.
