Brooklyn Nets guard Kyrie Irving is already playing ball with some of his brand new teammates. Nets Daily writer Anthony Puccio reported that Irving and Caris LeVert, among other Nets, have been getting used to playing with each other already in California. Reportedly, Irving is the one who set up the hoop sessions.

If it's true that Irving has already reached out to his teammates, this is great news for Nets fans.

Irving left the Boston Celtics on a sour note. He never truly gelled with the team, and it translated to the Celtics looking out of sync on the court.

While Irving had flashes of brilliance in a Celtics jersey, it was never sustained success and it never resulted in a playoff run in which he was a key component.

Because of this, Irving left with a reputation as a poor leader and lockerroom presence. It looks like he is already trying to change that perception as he moves on to a Celtics rival.

Irving will need to be a leader now more than ever for the Nets. Although the team acquired Kevin Durant this offseason, he more than likely will not play this season.

This means that Irving will undisputedly be the best player on the court for Brooklyn when the regular season begins. While he has been in this position before, he needs to show he can rally the team around him and avoid a Celtics-like letdown.
