The Brooklyn Nets are still missing the services of Kyrie Irving due to a right shoulder injury, but that hasn't slowed down the team since Spencer Dinwiddie has been ballin' out of his mind in the last three games.

The 26-year-old 6'5″ combo guard has become the first Nets player since Devin Harris in 2008 to score 30 or more in three consecutive games.

Dinwiddie was brilliant against the Atlanta Hawks at the Barclays Center on Sunday, leading his team to a 122-112 victory after producing 39 points, six rebounds, and six assists in 34 minutes of action. He shot 13-of-27 from the field and made 2-out-of-6 three-pointers.

Talking to reporters after the game, Dinwiddie downplayed his terrific play and deflected the praise to the home crowd for giving them the energy to mount a fourth-quarter comeback.

“The crowd really got into it. We kind of sense a little bit of that momentum and some of their uncertainty. We wanted to protect home court, we knew eight or ten point game is not an insurmountable odds”.

Winners of six of their last 10 matches, the Nets are currently 7th in the East with a 16-13 record. The Kenny Atkinson-mentored team appears to have found their stride since Irving sat out to injury, thanks in large part to Dinwiddie and their young players in Jarett Allen and Caris LaVert.

After tallying just 16.8 points in 68 games last year, Dinwiddie has bumped his scoring to 22.7 points this season, while shooting 43.5 percent from the field and 30.8 from downtown. He is also collecting 6.2 assists and 2.9 rebounds in a career-high 30.6 minutes per game.

The Nets have had a number of remarkable guards in the past, from Jason Kidd, Devin Harris, Deron Williams, and now Irving. Dinwiddie might not be a household name just yet, but he might just be in the same conversation when it's all said and done.
