Nets rumors: Kyrie Irving leaving front office in 'unhappy' position

The Kyrie Irving saga with the Brooklyn Nets is far from over.

The star point guard has been out for the past three games, and his return to the team is questionable at best. Irving will miss his fourth straight game and is out for the next two matches at the very minimum after a video of him partying in a large gathering while mask-less surfaced.

The NBA is currently investigating whether or not Irving broke protocol, and if so, fines and mandatory quarantine will be handed down.

Nets general manager Sean Marks had some comments of his own on Tuesday about the point guard's situation.

Now, Anthony Puccio of The Association reported that the Nets are starting to grow “unhappy” with Kyrie Irving, as their communication with him has been “minimal.”

That is never a good sign. Irving didn't inform Steve Nash of his absence from Thursday's game until minutes before it started–with the superstar playmaker reportedly only insisting he “didn't want to play.”

Brooklyn can very well end up as the Eastern Conference favorites, but doing so without Kyrie is going to be a difficult task. He has made headlines numerous times over the past couple of years, and he refused to speak to the media members at the beginning of the season.

The headaches surrounding Kyrie are exactly why teams like the Cleveland Cavaliers and Boston Celtics agreed to move on from the talented point guard, and the Nets patience seems to be running low.

Kyrie is expected to be out for some more time, and his actual return date is yet to be determined. The fact that the Nets ownership and front office are growing weary of Kyrie's whereabouts doesn't bode well for him by any means.
