The New York Jets were all set to debut their new jerseys tomorrow, but the designs appear to have leaked online a day early. This tweet from Andrew DeFrank appears to show Jets players, including Sam Darnold, donning the new uniforms.

The new uniforms have been highly anticipated among the fan base, so this is a major development. The new jerseys were the latest signal that the team was leaning in entirely to a new era of football under new head coach Adam Gase. Whether it's the new designs, or the big spending in free agency and the signing of Le'Veon Bell, the Jets have made it clear they're trying to inject some excitement back into the team.

In the reaction on Twitter, fans were pretty mixed on the new uniforms. Jets CEO Christopher Johnson had hyped up the new jerseys last month, according to Mark W. Sanchez of The New York Post.

“I love the new jerseys,” Johnson said. “The players who have seen them love them. They’re frankly the people I want to please most in this process. I want them to feel great in their uniforms. I think it’s about time for us to have a new look. I think this is going to be well-received. These things are pretty badass, I think.”

We'll have to wait until tomorrow for the official word, but the leaked image looks legitimate. The Jets are heading into a big year for the franchise and Darnold's development and will have a whole new look in 2019.
