Current free agent NFL wide receiver Antonio Brown is quite the frequent user of social media — especially Instagram and Twitter. With Instagram now becoming the most recent platform of choice for the troubled pass catcher, Brown posted a cryptic photo on social media this week, a picture that featured him in a New England Patriots uniform.

A former member of both the Pittsburgh Steelers and Oakland Raiders, Brown also spent one game with the aforementioned Patriots before quickly being sent back to the open market and has not been signed to an NFL roster since. It is also worth noting that Brown was especially close with his former Patriots teammate in future Pro Hall of Fame quarterback Tom Brady, though the veteran signal-caller now plays for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Following a lengthy stint as a member of the heralded Steelers, Brown forced his way out of Pittsburgh en route to being traded to the then Oakland Raiders. However, Brown never even played in a regulation game as a member of the Raiders as he encountered one incident after another. After being released by the Raiders, Brown briefly latched on with the Patriots, who allowed him to suit up for one regular-season game against the rival Miami Dolphins.

During that outing, a 43-0 rout in favor of the Patriots in September 2019, Brown tallied four catches, eight targets, 56 yards, and one touchdown. That lone appearance for the Patriots is the only regular-season game in which Brown has played at the NFL level since his time with the Steelers back in 2018-19.
