The defending Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs open as 10.5-point favorites over the Houston Texans in the season opener, which should come as little surprise given the Chiefs also had the best odds to reach the postseason.
There are a number of interesting odds for Week 1, including a “Pick ‘Em” in the matchup between the Las Vegas Raiders and Carolina Panthers.
SuperBook also favors some of the underdogs in the NFC North. The Detroit Lions are currently 1.5-point favorites over the Chicago Bears, while the Minnesota Vikings are 3.5-point favorites over the defending divisional champions, the Green Bay Packers.
One of the highlights of Week 1 comes in the afternoon when Tom Brady makes his debut for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in New Orleans against Drew Brees and the Saints.
But SuperBook is not forecasting a favorable debut for Brady and Co., as the Saints open as 4.5-point favorites over the Bucs.
The other interesting upset pick comes in the second half of the Monday Night Football doubleheader, where the Denver Broncos are currently 3.0-point favorites to defeat the Tennessee Titans.
Aside from the Chiefs, the Baltimore Ravens (8.5), Indianapolis Colts (8.5), and San Francisco 49ers (8.0) are the largest favorites to win their respective matchups.
Week 1 is still over four months away, and–due to the coronavirus pandemic–plenty can happen between now and September.
Still, after the full schedule release, the anticipation is officially building for the start of the 2020 NFL season.
