It'll be a long road back for Dez Bryant, but the star receiver isn't letting that effect him. After being released by the Dallas Cowboys last year, Bryant took his time to sign with a new team. When he eventually picked the New Orleans Saints, disaster soon struck.

Bryant tore his Achilles before he could ever appear in a game with the Saints, but he's taking a glass half full view of things. Bryant is currently rehabbing and working his way back, and as evidence by his latest social media post, he can't wait to get back out there.

Bryant didn't appear to have anything too heavy on his foot in the photo, so it looks like his recovery is going well. Achilles injuries can be tricky though, and it's unclear if Bryant will be ready for the start of the 2019 season. The Saints are reportedly interested in bringing him back, and it's sounded like the interest is mutual so far. Bryant will likely be brought back on a cheap one-year deal at some point.

He's clearly attacking his rehab hard, and should be able to make a full recovery. But as Eric Berry has shown, Achilles injuries can often linger for a longtime, and result in complications. If Bryant does end up returning to New Orleans, he'd end up filling a much-needed role.

The Saints are desperate for pass-catchers beyond Michael Thomas, and Bryant could be a nice second option. In his last season with the Cowboys, Bryant racked up 838 yards and six touchdowns. Still only 30, Bryant should still have something left in the tank even coming off this devastating injury.
