The Pittsburgh Steelers have quite a few players that are going to be inducted into the Hall of Fame, but so do the Dallas Cowboys. As a result, it has been reported that the Steelers and Cowboys will be playing in this year's Hall of Fame game.

For the Steelers, both Troy Polamalu and Bill Cowher were among the modern-era finalists to get inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame this year. In addition, Donnie Shell was included in the shortlist of veterans to make it into the Hall of Fame.

On the other hand, the Cowboys witnessed Jimmy Johnson get inducted in the group of modern-era finalists. Similar to Shell, Dallas also has Cliff Harris being inducted into the 10-man class of seniors.

The Hall of Fame game between the Steelers and Cowboys is scheduled to be played on August 6. That same weekend, Polamalu, Cowher, and Johnson will give their speeches as they are inducted into Canton. Then, on September 18, both Shell and Harris will be present at the ceremony for the senior group of inductees.

Without a doubt, Pittsburgh and Dallas are two of the most storied franchises in the NFL. Therefore, it's fitting that those would be the two teams to play the first exhibition game of the year.

Besides the Hall of Fame game, the Steelers and Cowboys are set to play each other in the regular season. It is already known that the regular season will take place in Dallas. While it's certain the two will play one another, it remains to be seen the exact date of the game.
