Tom Brady made the Super Bowl his home during his legendary career in the NFL. He owns just about every record a quarterback can have for the big game, including appearances, championships and touchdown passes. Few athletes across any sport made it to their respective title game as often as Brady did.

This season, Brady failed to get the Tampa Bay Buccaneers to the Super Bowl. He came up short in the NFC Divisional Round despite mounting one of his infamous comebacks with the help of the Bucs' defense. They were one of the favorites to make the Super Bowl but couldn't get enough going in the first half to make their comeback efforts worth it.

Ahead of Super Bowl 56 kicking off between the Los Angeles Rams and Cincinnati Bengals, Brady shared a reminder from his phone about the Super Bowl, showing that he was confident he would lead the Buccaneers back to the NFL's season finale.

Brady retiring leaves a gigantic power vacuum in the NFL. The player who led dominant teams like no other is now retired. Several quarterbacks have the talent to become the face of the league but it would be extremely surprising to see any of them in the Super Bowl as much as Brady was.

The possibility of Brady going back on his retirement to keep playing in the NFL looms over the league. He was just the MVP runner-up at age 44. Whether or not that happens, Brady will go down as the winningest player in the history of football.
