With free agency fast approaching, one of the biggest names that has emerged in the market is that of Pro Bowl wide receiver Kenny Golladay. With the 27-year-old parting ways with the Detroit Lions, two teams have emerged as frontrunners to sign Golladay.

According to Adam H. Beasley of the Miami Herald, the New York Giants and the Miami Dolphins are very interested in Golladay and are both expected to have a run at the former Northern Illinois standout:

Word around the league is the Dolphins are determined to add a No. 1 receiver in free agency, and they are expected to show considerable interest in Golladay once the legal tampering period begins next week. One league source went so far as to predict he ends up either with the Dolphins or the Giants.

The Lions recently decided against placing the franchise tag on Golladay, which means that he is now free to sign with any team he so chooses. Golladay already has one foot out the door in Detroit and as it turns out, he might now be taking his talents to either Miami or New York.

It remains to be seen, however, if either team will be willing to meet Golladay's demands in terms of his compensation. Spotrac currently estimates the WR to be worth $85 million for five years.

Kenny Golladay had a rather mediocre contract year with the Lions last season as he battled through hip and hamstring injuries. However, he still remains to be one of the top wide receivers in the NFL. Both the Dolphins and the Giants — and any other team in the league for that matter — should get a significant boost in their offense with his arrival to the squad.
