Arizona Cardinals star receiver DeAndre Hopkins is anxious to play with his new quarterback Kyler Murray, who's the reigning AP Rookie of the Year.
In a recent appearance on the Jalen & Jacoby Show, Hopkins spoke out about playing with Murray this upcoming season and called him a consistent quarterback.
Since entering the league in 2013, Hopkins has caught passes from 10 different quarterbacks. However, he finally found some consistency when the Texans drafted Deshaun Watson in 2017. Hopkins had caught 268 passes for 3,373 yards and 25 touchdowns in 38 games when Watson was the quarterback.
Nevertheless, it's quite shocking that Hopkins said that he's finally excited to play with a consistent quarterback in Murray, considering that he already has when he played with Watson. Was the former Texans receiver throwing jabs at Watson?
Nevertheless, this upcoming season, Hopkins and Murray will be a must-watch duo with the Cardinals. The veteran receiver's numbers have proven that he's one of the best receivers in the league. For his career, he has recorded 632 receptions for 8,602 yards and 54 touchdowns. Additionally, the 27-year-old has made four Pro Bowls and was selected a first-team All-Pro three times in his career.
