Despite their lowly record, the Denver Broncos are looking to end the 2017 NFL season on a high note after winning their last two games. Unfortunately, their hopes of getting a winning streak going have taken a shot with one of their top receiving options set to miss Sunday's game.

The absence of Sanders certainly deals a blow to the Broncos' receiving corps, which has largely struggled due to the lackluster performance of Denver's current quarterback carousel in Trevor Siemian, Paxton Lynch, and Brock Osweiler. That said, they will likely rely heavily on wide receivers Demaryius Thomas and Bennie Fowler.

Ankle injuries have been nothing new for Sanders after being plagued by them throughout the entire season. It had even gotten to the point where he had to miss two straight games during the middle of the season.

As a result, Sanders has been unable to find any kind of rhythm all year while the quarterback situation continued to spiral downhill. The eight-year veteran wideout has endured his worst season in years after recording just 47 catches for 555 yards and two touchdowns thus far.
