The Denver Broncos surprised many when they decided to retain head coach Vance Joseph following a disastrous 2017 NFL season. That said, it seems the Broncos are looking for some stability given their looming changes at the quarterback position this offseason.

President of football operations and general manager John Elway gave Joseph some reassurance by keeping him around. However, the same cannot be said for the team's quarterbacks, according to ESPN's Jeff Legwold:

“We expect to have an answer there, however that goes,” said Elway. “I think that thought process makes me think we're going to have a better year. Because the fact is we've got to figure out how to get that position playing better. … There is no doubt we've got to get better at that position. For us to have a chance to get better, we've got to get better at that position.”

Elway's approach to the offseason should certainly come as no surprise. The struggles at quarterback have largely been the catalyst behind their downfall from the NFL's elite.

As a result, the Broncos will likely do their due diligence after having clinched the fifth overall pick in the 2018 NFL Draft. That said, it will be interesting to see who the odd man out in Denver will be.
