The Buffalo Bills had an outstanding season finishing off 10-6 and clinching a Wild Card berth. However, their season came to a disappointing end after losing against the Houston Texans. The Bills struggled significantly to score against one of the league’s worst passing defenses in the Texans.

General manager Brandon Beane should mainly focus on improving their offense by surrounding more talent around Josh Allen. They'll have roughly $90 million in cap space, which will allow Beane to make plenty of improvements.

With that being said, here are a few areas the Bills' offense must improve this offseason.

Wide Receiver Position

Last offseason, the Bills added two wide receivers in John Brown and Cole Beasley which improved their offensive scoring. Brown had a career year with 72 catches for 1,060 yards and six touchdowns. However, their wide receiving core lacked size and consistency during the season. Their offense failed to reach 20 points in 10 games as they relied heavily on their defense.

The Bills' first priority this offseason should be drafting or signing a wide receiver. One receiver the Bills should pursue this offseason is AJ Green, who missed the entire 2019 season with an ankle injury. When healthy, Green is arguably one of the top receivers in the league. Signing him would not only give them size, but a reliable No. 1 wide receiver option.

Strengthen Offensive Line

The Bills' offensive line showed plenty of promise throughout the season, as they were ranked 21st in the league in PFF rankings. In the regular season, they allowed 40 sacks, which was ranked 15th in the league. Left tackle Dion Dawkins and center Mitch Morse both had phenomenal seasons. Dawkins was the top pass blocker on the team with a 76.4 pass-blocking grade.

However, in order to make a Super Bowl run next season, they'll need to make a few tweaks to their offensive line. The Bills should certainly make it a priority to re-sign guard Quinton Spain this offseason. Spain will be an unrestricted free agent this offseason and it's questionable if he'll re-sign.

Spain played a vital role on the Bills' offensive line, playing every snap and not allowing a single sack. If he doesn't re-sign, it'll be a tremendous loss for the Bills and it'll be tough to find a replacement for him.

Quarterback Position

Josh Allen had a phenomenal season as he led the Bills to astonishing 10 wins. Allen showed flashes of star potential in his second year, finishing off with 15 touchdowns and six interceptions.

However, there are plenty of areas Allen must improve on this offseason. After getting experience in the playoffs, you can expect Allen to come back stronger next season to stage a run for the Super Bowl.
