The grandmother of Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen passed away on Saturday at the age of 80. Since then, fans have rallied to raise a significant amount of donations in honor of Allen's late grandma.

The donation drive has gotten so big that Allen himself could not believe how the Bills Mafia were able to raise a whopping $483,000 in less than a week.

Allen appreciated all the love, and for his part, he shelled out a cool $17,000 to round out the figure to half a million dollars:

According to Charean Williams of NBC Sports, the donations have mostly come in $17 increments, which represents Allen's jersey number. It only figures that the QB likewise donated $17,000.

The money raised will be for the benefit of Oishei Children’s Hospital. To make your own donation, you may click on this link.

Allen played some inspired football last Sunday, as the Bills emerged with a 44-34 victory over the Seattle Seahawks. The 24-year-old quarterback completed 31-of-38 passes for a 415-yard gain, while also adding three touchdowns. He also managed seven carries for 14 yards and one touchdown. Needless to say, Allen had his grandmother in mind.

Josh Allen and the Bills will be back in action on Sunday against the Arizona Cardinals. Buffalo will want to keep their winning streak rolling, which currently stands at three consecutive victories. At 7-2, they currently hold the top spot in the AFC East.
