Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes sees Buffalo Bills superstar Josh Allen winning MVP in 2022, and for good reason.
Mahomes and Allen were teammates during Wednesday's The Match golf tournament, but that was not the only reason the Chiefs signal-caller picked his fellow QB to win. For Mahomes, Allen has showcased his ability to lead the Bills to wins while accumulating various highlight reels.
Simply put, that's the perfect recipe to winning MVP in the NFL.
“I would say Josh,” Mahomes said when asked who he thinks will win MVP next, per B/R Gridiron. “He gets those rushing yards, man. That dude's over there jumping over and hurdling people and getting those highlights.”
While Patrick Mahomes could have picked Tom Brady, Aaron Rodgers or himself since they have won the award before, there is definitely merit in his Josh Allen pick. After all, the 26-year-old Buffalo QB led the Bills to the top of the AFC East with an 11-6 record.
Allen was phenomenal throughout 2021, recording his second-straight 4000-yard season. He had 36 touchdowns as the Bills showed the whole NFL that they should be considered title contenders.

Of course winning the MVP award isn't easy, but coming from Mahomes himself, Allen has certainly all the necessary tools to become like his peers at The Match.
