The Carolina Panthers traded for quarterback Sam Darnold a couple of months back and are hoping he can become a star after a few mediocre years with the New York Jets. The good news for Darnold is that the Panthers just signed star offensive tackle Taylor Moton to a gigantic four-year deal, making him one of the highest-paid players at his respective position.

Inking Moton long-term was a huge emphasis for Carolina in the offseason and it finally got done with some big-time money being guaranteed. As it turns out, the Panthers offensive core of DJ Moore, Christian McCaffrey, and Darnold is a scary trio and adding Moton to protect them upfront is a gigantic boost.

Finally both sides were able to get a deal done, and Moton will enjoy being one of the highest-paid linemen in the NFL as the Panthers aim to make some noise in the NFC South in 2021 and beyond.
