The Carolina Panthers have been shuffling around their offensive line a little bit. First, center Ryan Kalil announced his retirement at the end of last season. Then on Thursday, they cut Kalil's brother and offensive tackle Matt Kalil, just two years into his five-year $55 million deal.

They signed center Matt Paradis away from the Broncos, so Carolina's offensive line will look significantly different next season.

But one member of the O-line who is returning, is right tackle Daryl Williams. Williams started all 16 games in 2017, but appeared in just one game this past year due to injuries.

Williams was a free agent, and after looking at his options decided to return to Carolina on a one-year deal. The pact will reportedly pay him around $6 million in 2019. Williams is looking to stay healthy this season, and made it clear in a recent interview how excited he is to get back out there.

Williams spoke to Jourdan Rodrigue of The Charlotte Observer about his decision and the upcoming season:

“I feel really good,” he said about his rehab. “I’ve been working out, training and all of that. I can’t wait to get back on the field.”

If Williams can play a full 16-game slate next year, it'll be huge for the Panthers.

The most important thing for Carolina next season is keeping Cam Newton healthy and upright, and they need a solid and consistent offensive line to do that.

The Panthers were bit hard by the injury bug last year, and should be in for a bounce-back season if they can stay a little bit healthier.
