Ron Rivera and the Carolina Panthers were unable to come away with a win on Sunday against the Washington Redskins. They ended up losing the game by a final score of 23-17. Carolina moved to 3-2 on the season with the loss, but are still looking like a team that could compete in the NFC.

Following the loss, Rivera made it clear that the team is not going to allow a loss to define them moving forward. In a press conference shared by 247 Sports, Rivera talked about the loss and how he expects his team to respond.

“When we look at games like this, losing's not gonna define us. How we handle it, how we come out next week, that's gonna define us. If we take advantage of the opportunity to learn and grow from it, we've got a chance to take a step forward. If we don't, we'll get beat again. Everything we do this week is about getting ready and getting prepared for playing Philadelphia.”

Carolina's other loss came in Week 2 against the Atlanta Falcons. They have defeated the Dallas Cowboys, Cincinnati Bengals, and New York Giants.

Cam Newton and the Panthers' offense has struggled a bit this season. They currently have the No. 28 ranked offense in the entire NFL. The offense has to figure out a way to get things going.

Defensively, the Panthers are currently ranked No. 6 in the league. The defense is getting the job done, to say the least.

It will be interesting to see how the team moves forward this season. Carolina is set to face the defending champion Philadelphia Eagles this week. Coming out of that game with a win would be a huge way to bounce back.

Expect to see the Panthers brush Sunday's loss off quickly and get back on track. They are a talented football team and will play accordingly.
