It is currently an exciting time to be a Cleveland Browns fan while soon-to-be second-year quarterback Baker Mayfield has a lot to do with such a notion. Most recently, though, Mayfield took his talents to the baseball diamond upon serving as the first base coach of the Milwaukee Brewers over the weekend.
Leading to the memorable event, Mayfield is friends with Brewers outfielder Christian Yelich, who was named as the National League MVP last season โ his first in Milwaukee.
โHe's a professional athlete,โ Brewers manager Craig Counsell said of Mayfield, via ESPN. โHe looks like a ballplayer, and he's played plenty of baseball. We played a game [on Friday] in batting practice, a points game, and he was in it until the final round. He acquitted himself very well defensively, offensively for sure. And in the clubhouse. He did a nice job.โ

The Browns signal caller also took a few swings in the batting cage and didn't look too bad at all.

It seems as though the only thing that Mayfield didn't do during his recent trip to Brewers Spring Training and see some actual game action.
โI've always loved baseball, dreamed of playing it professionally, and now I'm part of the Brewers,โ Mayfield said. โI love it.โ
Milwaukee remains primed for yet another stellar season in 2019 while Mayfield's Browns could encounter the same good fortune come 2019-20.
