The Cleveland Browns are beginning to conduct interviews with possible candidates to become the team's next head coach. According to Adam Schefter, the Kansas City Chiefs' offensive coordinator Eric Bieniemy will meet with Cleveland for the team's head coaching job.

Over the past week, the Browns fired Freddie Kitchens after just one season as the head coach. Cleveland finished the 2019 season with an abysmal 6-10 record despite having heightened expectations.

The Browns have had six different coaches hold the title of head coach since the 2011 season. Therefore, it's extremely important that Cleveland gets their next choice right this offseason.

Since last year, Bieniemy's name has been mentioned as a possible assistant that could receive some interest as a head coach. Eric Bieniemy has been the Chiefs' offensive coordinator since 2018.

Of course, Eric Bieniemy is technically Kansas City's offensive coordinator. But Andy Reid is ultimately the one who is calling plays for the Chiefs' high-scoring offensive attack.

With that being said, it's evident that Bieniemy is respected around the NFL and teams are intrigued by possibly making him a head coach. In addition, coaches under Reid tend to have immediate success when becoming a head coach in the NFL.

Most recently, guys like Doug Pederson, John Harbaugh, Ron Rivera, and Sean McDermott have done remarkable jobs for their respective teams. Provided that, Eric Bieniemy will inevitably draw interest from teams as a head coach.

Even though he isn't calling the plays, Eric Bieniemy has helped Kansas City boast the No. 1 and No. 5 scoring offense in the past two seasons. The Browns are likely interested in Bieniemy in hopes he could transform Cleveland's offense into a juggernaut like Kansas City's.
