The Cleveland Browns need to give Baker Mayfield more help. Accordingly, they are believed to be in the hunt for an additional wide receiver: Tyrell Williams.

According to Mary Kay Cabot of Cleveland.com, Los Angeles Chargers receiver Tyrell Williams is an item of interest for the Browns in NFL free agency. The Browns want to target him and, in the process, make him a target for Mayfield to throw to on Sundays in 2019.

When star receiver Keenan Allen missed nearly the entire 2016 season (15 of 16 games) with an injury, Williams caught 69 passes for 1,059 yards and seven touchdowns. Allen in many ways forms the basis for a discussion of Williams and his level of value on the open market.

Is this a No. 1 receiver in hiding, someone who has had to live in Allen's shadow the past few years in Southern California but hasn't had a situation in which he could bust out? Or, is Tyrell Williams a solid wide receiver as a supporting-cast member, someone who can function well within a group and benefit from the attention defenses pay to the No. 1 wide receiver on the other side of the field?

The Chargers have been a resource-rich organization for receivers. Williams finished third among the Bolts' wide receivers last season in targets, catches and yards, behind Allen and teammate Mike Williams. Is Tyrell Williams ready to become an even better Williams than Mike? Would he be able to give Baker Mayfield an elite option in Cleveland?
