The Cleveland Browns are interviewing Josh McDaniels on Friday for their head coaching job, and according to Albert Breer of NBC Boston, McDaniels has brought his wife with.

Breer also added that when the New England Patriots made their secret trip to visit Baker Mayfield before the 2018 draft they sent McDaniels, so he should have plenty of intel on the Browns quarterback.

McDaniels bringing his wife might not mean anything, but it could also mean the two sides could negotiate a deal if everything goes well during the interview. McDaniels is the last scheduled interview, so if the two sides come to an agreement, a contract could be worked out quickly.

The Patriots offensive coordinator had an interest in the Browns' job last season, but the team quickly made a move by hiring Freddie Kitchens.

If the Browns do come to an agreement with McDaniels, the big question is how much control will he have inside the organization? Hall of Famer Gil Brandt speculated in December that if the Browns were interested in McDaniels they would give him the level of control that the Patriots give Bill Belichick.

If the two sides do come to an agreement, Belichick is going to have his hands full replacing two members of his staff, and maybe, even more, depending on how Joe Judge and McDaniels bring with them.

If the two sides can't come to an agreement, McDaniels will go back to being the highest-paid assistant coach in NFL history with the Patriots.
