Myles Garrett has evolved into one of the best edge defenders in the NFL in his first three seasons with the Cleveland Browns. But regardless of his status in the NFL, Garrett still experiences racism from fans. After an encounter on social media, Garrett put a fan who sent an NSFW racist DM to him on blast.

This past season, Myles Garrett was involved in a skirmish with Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Mason Rudolph. As a result, Garrett was suspended and fined for his involvement in the scrum.

Ever since the altercation occurred, Myles Garrett has accused Rudolph of using a racial slur that caused him to act the way he did. While Garrett has likely sadly experienced racism before, he's likely seen more fans express racism toward him since the scuffle with Rudolph.

Nonetheless, Myles Garrett doesn't appear to be phased by the disgusting comments that fans send to him. Especially since he knows that none of these fans would have the guts to say the same phrases to him if they saw him in public.

At the same time, Myles Garrett became a bit richer this offseason, signing a lucrative extension. After combining for 30.5 sacks, 65 quarterback hits, and six forced fumbles since 2017, Garrett signed a five-year, $125 million extension. Not long after Garrett inked a deal with the Browns, Joey Bosa unseated him as the highest-paid defensive player in the NFL.
