The Cleveland Browns hold the unique privilege of holding the first overall pick in this year's draft that has put them in the position to snag one of the top quarterbacks in this year's class. There are several promising players at the position that could step in as the next face of the franchise.
One of which could be former Wyoming quarterback Josh Allen, who had participated in Wyoming's Pro Day on Friday. According to Andrew Groover of The NFL Network, Browns owner Jimmy Haslam was among those present at the event and had even spoken to Allen's parents.
One note from Wyoming pro day: Browns Owner Jimmy Haslam spent some time with Josh Allen’s parents before the pro day began. Browns are doing their homework.

Haslam and Browns are doing their due diligence with the selection that could change the fate of the franchise. The front office has rare opportunity to bring aboard arguably their most piece of the puzzle that could single-handedly dictate their long-term future.

Cleveland has had a long history of falling short of finding the right answer under center over nearly the two decades. This alone only further heightens the amount of importance that the team needs to get this right. With the approach that they are taking in taking a closer examination of each of the top quarterbacks in this crop in meeting face-to-face with Allen, Josh Rosen, Sam Darnold, and Baker Mayfield.
That said, Allen appears to be in play to possibly go first overall in this year's draft if the Browns have attended his Pro Day with Haslam being part of that contingency that went in person to see him throw. The 21-year-old is a promising talent that has a tremendously strong arm and the prototypical wanted for a player at his position standing at 6-foot-5 and 233 pounds that should lend well to him adjusting to the physical nature of the game in the NFL.
However, there have been questions about his accuracy throwing the ball along with his footwork that has been singled out as something he needs to show improvement. The draft may still be just over a month away, the Browns look completely committed toward making a completely sound and concrete decision with their first overall pick.
