The Dallas Cowboys are set to face the Atlanta Falcons in an important game. However, already down one of its best offensive players, it enters the weekend uncertain about the availability of wide receiver Dez Bryant.

Dallas has him listed as questionable for the game.

To be clear, however, Bryant is already out in the world telling people he fully expects to play.

“Y’all know I’m playing Sunday,” Bryant said, via Drew Davison of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram. “It’s not going to keep me from being out there on the field.”

This boils down to the same thing it always does; why on Earth are there these injury reports if teams never use them correctly? If questionable means unlikely or not as good as probable, and Bryant believes he is for certain playing against the Falcons, shouldn't he be listed as probable?

Eh, here I am, being old and yelling at clouds.

Anyway, the Cowboys will be without running back Ezekiel Elliott when they face the Falcons. At least we think, as this remains one of the weirdest suspension ordeals in the sport's history.

Another Dallas player is listed as questionable on the injury report alongside Dez Bryant. Offensive lineman Tyron Smith is there as well, although, unlike Bryant, Smith's chances of playing seem much slimmer.

“I feel I’m going to be on the field Sunday,” Bryant said. “If I’m good, I’m going to go. The way that I feel right now, I’m going to go.”

That's the most optimistic “questionable” in the history of the NFL.
