NFL owners are continuing to fight over Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones. What a shocker.

This mostly stems from Jerry Jones wanting to halt the extension of the National Football League commissioner, but now the lawyers are also getting involved because why in the heck not.

Recently, a letter was sent to Jones, in which it said that his current conduct is detrimental to the NFL. This was being reported alongside the idea that other owners wanted to take the Cowboys off his hands.

“I don’t know where this is coming from about stripping him of his franchise,” the unnamed owner said. “That’s ridiculous. That’s not going to happen. . . . If he files a lawsuit, he could be subject to attorney fees and maybe a fine.”

As noted elsewhere, but certainly worth saying again here: Without knowing the identity of the owner, it’s impossible to know whether the owner is currently aligned with Jones’ effort to block Commissioner Roger Goodell’s contract extension, or opposed to Jones.

According to reports, roughly half the league is siding with Jones in regard to blocking Goodell's contract extension. The above quote might be shaded toward siding with Jerry because he might want this picture painted. Obviously, that is purely conjecture at the time of this writing.

Nevertheless, I highly doubt Jerry Jones will lose his NFL team. At the same time, I do believe that some owners are probably sick and tired of his tomfoolery. Poor billionaire owners.
