Since the decision to acquire former Pro Bowl wide receiver Amari Cooper from the Oakland Raiders, there has been plenty of buzz and excitement around the Dallas Cowboys.

This has translated to the football field in practice with their being much praise being heaped toward Cooper's direction about what he brings to the table. It is something quarterback Dak Prescott has quickly noticed in more intense practice sessions, according to Jori Epstein of USA TODAY Sports.

“It’s just positive energy,” Prescott said. “Practices getting chippy and chippy for the right reasons.”

It hasn't taken long for Cooper to make his presence felt on the team, as he has instantly brought more competitive fire to the mix.

The Cowboys are in a crucial part of the season where things can go in either direction, holding a 3-4 record through the first seven games played.

All of this makes for what should be a definitive section of the year that will decide how things unfold for their playoff aspirations. It is likely something that Cooper has quickly realized. The 24-year-old has an opportunity in front of him to be a big part of that by stepping in as the No. 1 Cowboys wide receiver.

Cooper has shown in his career that he can be a highly dependable asset in the passing game, as he began his NFL career with back-to-back 1,000 receiving yard campaigns, earning him a pair of Pro Bowl selections.
