Dallas Cowboys running back Tony Pollard is still nursing a foot injury, but he is now in line to feature in the Week 16 matchup against the Washington Football Team.

Although he was not a full participant in practice this week, Pollard was not given any injury designation and thus will play in the upcoming NFC East rematch with Washington.

Pollard has been nursing a torn plantar fascia in his left foot since the Cowboys’ Thursday Night Football win over the New Orleans Saints. He suffered the injury on his 58-yard touchdown run in the third quarter, which provided Dallas with a double-digit lead and essentially put the game away for good.

Pollard went on to miss the Cowboys’ road matchup with Washington in the following week. In his absence, Cowboys offensive coordinator Kellen Moore relied on a one-two punch of Ezekiel Elliott and Corey Clement to lead the team’s rush offense, as the two combined for 89 rushing yards in the game.

After making promising progress over the week, Cowboys head coach Mike McCarthy opted to give Pollard the green light to play against the Giants. Overall, Moore did not ease off on the rushing touches for Pollard, as the third-year running back ran the ball 12 times for 74 yards in the contest.

McCarthy once again remained conservative in his handling of Pollard’s foot injury, as the versatile back was limited in practice over this week. Still, Pollard sustained no setback regarding the injury, which has paved the way for him to play against Washington.

The Cowboys have already clinched a playoff spot thanks to the Tennessee Titans' win against the San Francisco 49ers on Thursday. They could also come away from this week as NFC East champions with a victory over Washington.
