Through the first several years of his NFL career, Dallas Cowboys kicker Dan Bailey has established himself as one of the best players in the league at his position.
However, he went through a rocky 2017 campaign where injuries began to mount and limit his availability on the field. Bailey has used this offseason to focus more greatly on his physical shape as he stated that he has improved in many different areas over the last few months, according to Jon Machota of SportsDay.

I feel healthy, I feel good, just looking forward to get going come training camp.”
This is encouraging news for the Cowboys given that Bailey didn't look like the same kicker last season to his nagging health issues. In the last month of the 2017 campaign, he had made seven of 12 field goal attempts that included missing each of his last three tries. During that span, he had also missed the first two extra points of his career while finishing making 75 percent of his kicks that was the first time has fallen below 84 percent in any of his first seven seasons.
Bailey has been arguably the most reliable kicker in the league that has shown to not only be accurate both also has a strong leg to make field goals from 50-plus yards out consistently. In fact, the 30-year-old had entered the 2017 season as the league's most accurate kicker of all-time that he now sits at 88.2 percent for his career.
With Bailey being back to full health, it provides the team with another proven asset offensively that could help the Cowboys get back into the playoff picture after falling short this past season.
