Dallas Cowboys running back Ezekiel Elliott was in the team facility early on Wednesday morning, getting ready to help the team this weekend.

According to coach Jason Garrett, Elliott was in the facility at early, and he expects that the star running back will practice.

“It’s great to have him back,” Cowboys coach Jason Garrett said via Pro Football Talk. “He was here this morning in our breakfast club meeting at 7:30 and went through the walkthrough, and I anticipate him practicing today. He’s been a big part of our team, and we’re excited to have him back in the fold.”

In terms of Sunday's game, Garrett said the team will see how he does during practice and how he responds to the dynamic warmup before making any decisions about Sunday's game against the New York Giants.

“We anticipate him practicing, and we’ll see how he does,” Garrett said. “He’ll go through the dynamic warmup and the individual, and we’ll see how he’s responding. He’s in very good shape. He looks good, but he hasn’t been practicing with pro football players. So we’ll just see how he fits back in, but he’s a quick study; he’s a smart guy; he has an excellent football IQ. Se we’ll see where he is and adjust accordingly as we go.”

Garrett seems to be trying to temper expectations about Elliott, but all signs are pointing towards him being a big part of the gameplan.

As long as he kept in good shape, this is an offensive system, he should have a pretty good feel for, and there is no doubt he gives the team the best chance to win.
