With less than a week until the season opener on Sunday night against the New York Giants, there remains much uncertainty about the status of Dallas Cowboys star running back Ezekiel Elliott's suspension appeal for violating the NFL's personal conduct policy.
According to Todd Archer of ESPN, head coach Jason Garrett has stated that Elliott will continue to practice until told otherwise.

All along, the sense around the Cowboys is that the team is preparing for Elliott to play in Week 1, even in wake of the six-game suspension being given out. If he is unable to play, Dallas will likely turn to split duties for veterans Darren McFadden and Alfred Morris.
There had been reports that Elliot's appeal officer, Harold Henderson, was under pressure to make a decision by Monday. This essentially means that a decision will be made at any moment, with it likely coming earlier this week ahead of the full slate of games on Sunday.
There are clearly many wrinkles to this situation that should be resolved in the coming days.
