Ezekiel Elliott of the Dallas Cowboys is facing charges for a dog biting incident, with the alleged victim seeking over a million dollars in damages as compensation.
As per report from TMZ sports, this is the third such incident in the last 14 months involving the Cowboys running back's dogs.
Elliott's neighbor, Jennifer Gampper, asserts that one of the dogs escaped while landscaping work was being done on the Cowboys star's residence. The alleged attack cited that Gampper had suffered “severe and permanent” injuries.
Zeke's lawyer gave out a statement on said incident:
“Mr. Elliott and his representatives are aware of the lawsuit filed on July 30th,” said the Cowboys star's lawyer. “which stems from a previously reported incident from May 21st of this year. As Mr. Elliott expressed at that time, he was – and remains concerned – for the party involved.”
“However, as in most disputes, there are extenuating circumstances to this matter which will impact the legal proceedings which we are not at liberty to disclose. As such, we have no further comment at this time.”
Ezekiel Elliott's dog in question – the Cowboys star's Rottweiler named Ace – was required to be removed from the city, per reports. Ace had already been cited for two other incidents in the past.
