Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones isn't shy about his desire to win another Super Bowl, and he would go as far to pay an embarrassing amount of money to get it done.
The Cowboys won their last Super Bowl in 1996 and since that the team has fallen short time and time again. Jones appeared on The Fan's Shan & RJ show and talked about how bad he wants to get another ring for his hand.
“It would be shocking if you knew the size of the check I would write if it guaranteed me a Super Bowl” said Jones. “It would be obscene. There is nothing I would do financially to get a Super Bowl.”
The comments were in response to a recent article that said he would trade his Pro Football Hall of Fame induction so his Cowboys could raise the Lombardi Trophy one more time.
“Years ago I wanted that third Super Bowl so bad I said if you (the man upstairs) give me one more, ill never ask again” said Jones. “I find myself trying to retrade that trade for the last twenty-somthing years.”
Jones also said that he has tried to do everything in his power to make the Cowboys a destination that players want to play. The Cowboys built Jerry's World and the new practice facility, but so far those upgrades haven't resulted in a Super Bowl win. Maybe it might just be easier if Jones goes to Roger Goodell office and hands him over a blank check.
