Dallas Cowboys running back Ezekiel Elliott wants a new contract and is holding out of training camp as a result, and to pass the time, he is apparently heading to Cabo, Mexico, according to Kevin Turner of 105.3 The Fan.
Cabo is where Elliott trained during his six-game suspension in 2017, so this seems to be sort of a safe haven for the star.
Elliott is scheduled to make $3.9 million this coming season and $9.1 million in 2020, but he is obviously concerned about his long-term security and would like an extension.
The Cowboys have reportedly made Elliott an offer, and on Saturday, Jane Slater of NFL Network reported that the halfback was yet to respond. The details of Dallas' offer to Elliott are not known at the present time.
