The 2020 NFL schedule has officially been released. That means we have a chance to look at all the individual team schedules and dissect them.
Which weeks will see wins? Which weeks will see losses? And how many games are toss-ups that could go either way?
Let's take a look at the Green Bay Packers' 2020 schedule and try to find out. We'll go week-by-week and try to predict the outcome of each game.
Week 1 – Minnesota Vikings (Away)
A Week 1 matchup between the two teams that are projected to be the two best in the NFC North? Sign us up.
Green Bay is at a bit of a disadvantage here because the Minnesota Vikings are the home team. However, it will also be Week 1. And the Vikings will need to give quarterback Kirk Cousins time to get used to his new weapons of Tajae Sharpe, Justin Jefferson and K.J. Osborn.
That might put Minnesota on a bit of a learning curve.
People (rightfully) have blasted Green Bay for not getting Aaron Rodgers more help this offseason. But at least the offense will all be used to each other.
The Packers pick up their first win of the season.
1-0
Week 2 – Detroit Lions (Home)
The Detroit Lions are not nearly as bad as they looked last season if Matthew Stafford is healthy. They were 3-4-1 with their starting quarterback, but went 0-8 after he was injured.
With Stafford back this is a much better team, and one that could definitely beat the Packers — or anyone on the right day.
However, this won't be that day. The Packers are home and will ride that Week 1 momentum to another win.
2-0
Week 3 – New Orleans Saints (Away)
The New Orleans Saints are set to be one of the best teams in the NFL. They have an absolutely lethal offense led by Drew Brees.
The Packers are a very good team, but have a number of flaws. And they might not be able to go blow-for-blow with a team this stacked. It's going to be even tougher considering they are the away team for this contest.
Green Bay picks up its first loss of the season in Week 3.
2-1
Week 4 – Atlanta Falcons (Home)
The Packers get right back to their winning ways in the following week, when they play host to the Atlanta Falcons in Week 4. This is a team that's both confusing and dangerous.
Atlanta has the ability to look terrible one week, then look like Super Bowl contenders the next. At least, that's what we've seen the last few seasons. So it's frequently hard to predict their games.
That being said, Rodgers and company can pull out these types of wins, and being the home team definitely doesn't hurt.
3-1
Week 5 – Bye
Green Bay gets an early bye week in 2020. A lot of fans don't like early byes as the players aren't worn down yet and don't necessarily need the rest. However, it's all a matter of timing.
This could be the perfect time for the Packers to heal. Any team can be dealing with injuries and fatigue at any time. And with the game they have coming up in Week 6, they'll want that extra rest.
3-1
Week 6 – Tampa Bay Buccaneers (Away)
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are set to be one of the scariest teams in the NFL in 2020.
They are bringing back their top receiver duo of Chris Godwin and Mike Evans. And now Tom Brady is the quarterback throwing them the football. Is that not enough? Let's throw in Rob Gronkowski at tight end for good measure.
A lot of people believe Brady has jumped the shark. This season he has all the weapons he could possibly ask for. Maybe that will be enough to quiet his doubters.
Sadly for the Packers, as of right now, this is looking like loss No. 2 on the schedule.
3-2
Week 7 – Houston Texans (Away)
The Houston Texans are in a bad spot. The DeAndre Hopkins trade was baffling. And it leaves quarterback Deshaun Watson without a No. 1 wide receiver. Will Fuller is exciting, but is he ready for that responsibility?
Even if he is, no one is replacing Hopkins.
It's hard to imagine head coach Bill O'Brien will still be in that role come 2021 if the Texans don't perform in 2020. The Packers will help to kick him out of the door with a loss (and thus a win for Green Bay) this week.
4-2
Week 8 – Minnesota Vikings (Home)
Green Bay plays their divisional rivals the Vikings for the second time on the season in Week 8. This time, the Packers are at home.
Funnily enough, this might be a tougher game for them than Week 1 was despite that fact. The Vikings will now have had time to gel.
If we're being honest, this could go south for them too, as Cousins and company seemed to fall apart a few times over the last two years. So if he isn't connecting with his weapons, Minnesota could be in a bad place.
However, let's guess that all is good in Vikingsland and go with the home-away swap. Minnesota takes this one, and the Packers walk away with a loss.
4-3
Week 9 – San Francisco 49ers (Away)
The San Francisco 49ers might not be as good as they looked in 2019. They still have some glaring holes, and let's not pretend like Jimmy Garoppolo looked like a superstar last season.
The quarterback definitely did not look bad, though. And he's still young and improving, so could be better in 2020.
Meanwhile, the defense is going to make up for a lot of the mistakes elsewhere. It's hard to imagine they'll be as good as they were in 2019, but they still should pose a significant threat.
Both teams are far from perfect, but the 49ers are quite a bit closer. Maybe if Green Bay was at home they could pull it out, but they aren't. The Packers take back-to-back losses here and don't avenge their NFC Championship game loss from a season earlier.
4-4
Week 10 – Jacksonville Jaguars (Home)
Now the Packers are reeling a little bit and need a win. But with a home game against the Jacksonville Jaguars, it could easily be the moment for a rebound.
The Packers tend to make some games much harder than they need to be. However, at this point in the season, Jacksonville might be in a bad way. Green Bay could take advantage of that and get some much needed frustration out.

5-4
Week 11 – Indianapolis Colts (Away)
The Indianapolis Colts could be tough this year. They have a quarterback in Philip Rivers that can win them games, and a great roster around him. At the same time, they are home in this contest, giving them an edge.
However, Rivers has also been known to throw some games away via bunches of turnovers. Maybe he's starting to get a little tired at this point in the season.
The Packers steal one in Indianapolis from a very game Colts team.
6-4
Week 12 – Chicago Bears (Home)
Next, the Packers return home to face off with the Chicago Bears for the first time in 2020. This is a storied rivalry.
However, Chicago has a terrible — or at least, unresolved — quarterback situation. A few other problems plague them as well, but it's their quarterback situation that's the most daunting. And its defense might not be able to make up for it.
Green Bay wins this one and they are officially back on a win streak.
7-4
Week 13 – Philadelphia Eagles (Home)
The Packers stay at Lambeau Field for another week to face the Philadelphia Eagles. With Carson Wentz, this could be a terribly tough team to beat. Will he still be healthy this late in the season?
We'll say yes. However, the Packers are no slouches either. And they've got the home field advantage in this one.
This could end up being one of the tougher games on Green Bay's schedule. They're hot at this point though, and they'll sneak away with a fourth-straight win.
8-4
Week 14 – Detroit Lions (Away)
All good things must come to an end. With Stafford healthy, this team is a legitimate threat. And now they've got the home field advantage.
Detroit won't be one of the better teams the Packers play in 2020, but they are a divisional rival who will be much improved from the year before.
And remember, they almost beat Green Bay on two separate occasions in 2019. Maybe if some head-scratching calls weren't made, they would have pulled them out.
The Lions won't leave empty-handed in 2020, ending the Packers' four-game winning streak.
8-5
Week 15 – Carolina Panthers (Home)
The Carolina Panthers aren't going to be good. And while there's a chance that prediction is proved wrong, it's also impossible to be 100 percent sure this far ahead of the season starting.
That being said, they likely won't be all that good. And the Packers get them at home later in the season when Carolina will already be out of the playoff race. This is a win for Green Bay.
9-5
Week 16 – Tennessee Titans (Home)
The Tennessee Titans will enter the year riding high from their deep playoff run in 2019. They believe they have their franchise quarterback in Ryan Tannehill, too.
But when they face Green Bay, it will be the end of the season. And it's possible that Tannehill and company have come back down to earth.
The Titans have a lot going for them, but might not reach the high expectations some have. With Green Bay as the home team, the Packers pick up a much-needed late-season win.
10-5
Week 17 – Chicago Bears (Away)
The Bears could play spoilers in Week 17 depending on how the weeks before it shake out. Green Bay will be 10-5. That means they'll likely be fighting for a playoff spot.
Either they'll have one, and be looking for positioning — maybe trying to win the division — or they'll need a win to get in at all.
That quarterback situation still remains iffy for the Bears, who could otherwise be a solid team in 2020. They were great with Mitchell Trubisky in 2018. Can they find that magic again though?
Let's go with no here, and the Packers sweep the season series picking up a crucial Week 17 victory that could make all the difference in their postseason hopes.
11-5
