The Green Bay Packers hired Matt LaFleur to replace Mike McCarthy who coached the team for 13 seasons. With the Packers beginning their training camp, LaFleur has some high-praise for Packers fans.
After the Packers first training camp practice this year, LaFleur was asked if his first training camp practice as a head coach felt different. LaFleur responded by saying he loves the diehard fan support in Green Bay.
For plenty of years, Green Bay is known to be a model organization that is known for it's winning. Even with McCarthy, the Packers had double-digit wins in eight out of his 13 seasons with the franchise.
Although, the Packers failed to reach the playoffs in two straight seasons which caused them to move on from McCarthy—along with other reasons. Thus, the Packers faithful are hoping that with LaFleur things can be turned around and quickly.

Their love for the Packers dates back to the early 1900s when Curly Lambeau was the head coach from 1921-1949. They even named the stadium after the longtime head coach and have a celebration in his name (the Lambeau leap).
Now, LaFleur is passed the torch of being the head coach of the Packers after the likes of Lambeau, Vince Lombardi, Mike Holmgren, and McCarthy had success at the helm. In just his first training camp as the head coach, LaFleur already feels the embrace of the fans in Green Bay.
