The Houston Texans recently-acquired wide receiver Demaryius Thomas hasn't exactly been the epitome of production since joining the surging team. Head coach Bill O'Brien is taking the blame for Thomas' lack of involvement.
“Yeah, it’s not Demaryius,” O'Brien said according to Aaron Wilson of the Houston Chronicle. “I have to do a better job of getting him more involved. He’s working hard, he’s a good pro and we need to do a better job of getting him the ball a little more.”
It's a fair assumption that Thomas is still learning the playbook so it's not completely surprising to see Thomas lacking targets in the passing game. Quarterback Deshaun Watson also put his two cents in on the matter of his newly acquired weapon.

We put a lot on the plate of the receivers switching them around, but, at the same time, he’s a guy that came in and put his head down and went straight to work.”
Watson got Thomas involved early in the veteran receivers first game with the team against his former Denver Broncos. However, Thomas was not featured much of the game. Thomas had a single target in last week's game against the Washington Redskins. Everyone knows Thomas is a talented receiver, the Texans have recognized he needs to be involved more so now it's time to see it all unfold.
