The Houston Texans had themselves a great year last season, outperforming all projections for them to finish 11-5 before losing in the first round of the playoffs.

Despite the stellar finish for the team, the Texans have had a rocky offseason, and as of right now, are currently not favored to make the playoffs in 2019.

According to BetOnline.ag, the Texans are currently -180 to miss the playoffs in 2019, with +150 odds to make them. Of course, the Texans likely weren’t favored to make the playoffs last year either, but shocked many by doing so.

This season, however, the team will be looking to bounce back after the departure of some key members of their defense, including Tyrann Mathieu, Kareem Jackson, and Kevin Johnson.

Armed with one of the best wide receivers in the game in DeAndre Hopkins, the Texans might have a hard time replicating their 2018 success, but should at least be a competitive team in 2019.

However, if you're a betting person and think the Texans will shock everyone again and mae the playoffs, the odds don't seem to be in your favor.
