The Jacksonville Jaguars are celebrating their first playoff appearance in a decade in a rather festive manner. Of course, that is to be expected given their passionate, and eccentric, fan base.
It is not uncommon for teams to promote special items at the concessions in honor of successful seasons. However, the Jaguars are taking it a step further by selling teal beer and food during their AFC Wild Card matchup against the Buffalo Bills.
Jaguars fans love the team's teal jerseys. Maybe they'll embrace a teal beer, too. The team announced Wednesday that they'll be selling teal beer at EverBank Field on Sunday during the playoff game against Buffalo. The special craft beer by Anheuser-Busch will be sold while supplies last. Delaware North, which handles the stadium's concessions, also will be creating some teal food items for sale, though the company did not elaborate on what those could be.
Teal jerseys are, without a doubt, a fan favorite in Jacksonville, and the organization didn't hesitate to go all out this Sunday after a dreadful playoff drought.
While the teal beer may be a hit with the fans, it remains to be seen which food items will be dyed, and if they'll still appear appetizing. Regardless, nothing is going to serve the Jaguars faithful better than advancing to the AFC Divisional Round for a date with the Pittsburgh Steelers.
