The Kansas City Chiefs are expected to sign DeAndre Baker to their practice squad, per Mike Garafolo of NFL Network.
Baker was released by the New York Giants this past offseason due to his alleged involvement in an armed robbery in Florida.
On Monday, the State Attorney's office dropped the charges against Baker.
The #Chiefs are expected to sign former #Giants CB DeAndre Baker to their practice squad in the coming days, source says. The 2019 first-round pick is headed there for a visit, as @NYPost_Schwartz noted. That’s the only planned visit and, barring a snag, he’ll be a Chief.

Since DeAndre Baker was placed on the Commissioner's Exempt List, he'll have to be removed from the list in order to become eligible to play in games with the Chiefs this season.
The Giants selected Baker with the No. 30 overall pick in the 2019 NFL Draft out of Georgia. In 16 games with New York, he racked up 48 solo tackles.
This is a low risk, high reward move for the Chiefs, who are 8-1 on the season and atop the AFC West standings. Kansas City will take on the Las Vegas Raiders in Week 11. The Chiefs' only loss on the season came against the Raiders in Week 5, so you know Patrick Mahomes and Co. are eager to get some revenge against Derek Carr and Co.
The Chiefs are giving up 20.3 points per game on the season. They are playing great on both sides of the ball and many pundits believe Andy Reid's group is going to repeat as Super Bowl champions.
