The Kansas City Chiefs are set to take on the Miami Dolphins on Sunday night. Chiefs head coach Andy Reid is looking to make some adjustments ahead of their showdown against the Dolphins. One of Kansas City's top priorities is addressing their red-zone offense, per James Palmer of the NFL Network.

As James Palmer mentioned in the video above, the Chiefs have been dominating the league in every aspect offensively. However, they seem to find the most difficulty in generating points in supposedly the easiest spots on the field. On the season, despite being atop the league rank in the majority of offensive stats, Kansas City is just 23rd among all teams in red-zone offense.

In the past, Kansas City has relied on misdirection and horizontal stretches. But with other teams catching up on Andy Reid's offensive schemes, perhaps now is the right time to change things up.

The Chiefs laid a goose egg on four attempts in the red zone against the Denver Broncos in Week 13. Kansas City should have another tough challenge ahead of them when they take on the Dolphins.

Miami has emerged as one of the top defensive teams in the league this season. Their defense has taken major strides this year, focusing on disrupting baffled opposing quarterbacks. Ranking dead last in scoring defense in 2019, they now hold the no. 2 spot in the said category this year.

Nonetheless, the Dolphins should also be faced with a tough challenge ahead as they take on the defending Super Bowl champs and the reigning Super Bowl MVP in Patrick Mahomes.
