Kansas City Chiefs cornerback Kendall Fuller may have undergone wrist surgery last month, but that has not stopped him from playing.
While Fuller did miss the Chiefs' loss against the Seattle Seahawks in Week 16, he returned for their season finale against the Oakland Raiders. He even tried suiting up for the Seahawks game, but it just wasn't in the cards:
“I was close (in Seattle), but I just kind of going out there and I was kind of testing it out against the bag,” Fuller said, according to John Sleezer and Lynn Worthy of The Kansas City Star. “Each time I hit it, it was just more and more painful. Fuller has been a full participant in Chiefs practice this week. On the year, the 23-year-old registered 82 tackles, two interceptions, a forced fumble, and 12 passes defended, representing one of the better players on a Kansas City defense that was ranked just 31st in the NFL this season.
The Chiefs acquired Fuller in the Alex Smith-trade with the Washington Redskins back in March.
