Even though the offseason has barely started for the Kansas City Chiefs, linebacker Kevin Pierre-Louis is already in the doghouse.
According to Terez Paylor of the Kansas City Star, the fourth-year linebacker was arrested Thursday night in Johnson County, Kansas for multiple offenses:
- No valid driver license present
- Misdemeanor counts of possession of a controlled substance
- Possession of drug paraphernalia
- No display of a numbered license plate or current registration
Pierre-Louis was later released that day with a bond at $2,500 and will return to court on Feb. 1, 2018. This could have an impact on the soon to be unrestricted free agent come March.

The 26-year old would play in 13 regular season games with the Chiefs. He also saw time in the playoff loss to the Tennessee Titans. The solid season was completed with 41 tackles and two pass deflections in 2017
Kansas City traded for Pierre-Louis back in July 2017 as they shipped off fellow linebacker D.J. Alexander to the Seattle Seahawks to acquire the 6-foot, 230-pound monster from Boston College.
As of right now, it is too early to see whether or not this arrest could have an impact on the special teams player. A phone call from Andy Reid could be happening in the near future though. The fourth round pick by Seattle in 2014 might want to be extra careful the rest of the offseason now.
The Chiefs have yet to release a statement about this arrested.
